i find it is quite valuable experience for us to meet and ice-breaking with the kids here in jalan pudu ... they are not that fortunate kids as we do .. they are considered refugees and some even are orphan ..
it is part of moral assignment where we have to play and teach the kids english ... since they are not Malaysian ( status of them non-disclosure for P n C purpose ) ...
find it hard to communicate with them initially as they are not well-versed with english language ... to successful ice-breaking with them , while on the same time teach them english .. it seems quite challenging stuff for me
but after today , i get to know them better .. and can make better plan for them in my 2nd visit .. their age is at range 5- 15 years old .. i got to take care of 3 girls - 11, 12, 15 years old ..
initially , i tried to chat with them with english .. but they seem not quite understand what i mean .. so i change my strategy to reading books to them - in the same time , teach them the words and what it means .. telling about the summary of the story .. and basic english stuff ..
since they cant speak well , i ask them draw .. one of them draw really well ~ even better than me .. then ask them label the parts ... then i reverse the role and ask them question me ..
basically , i really feel grateful to be able to make new friends and teach them new things ... is that call Karma ? and also appreciate what i own now ..
