The Road Not Taken

i would never forget this experience ..

Yesterday night , my friend - Chun Seng invited me to go for jungle trekking ..sounds fun and adventurous !! of course i agreed to follow him ... and asked him what to bring for the expedition - " bring yourself - no need bring anything " .... lolz , then i thought the jungle trekking to be easy since he didnt ask me to do any preparation at first ..

the next morning , i woke up late .. so didnt bring anything as i thought i was late ... that's the big mistake i have done ... i should have brought :

• compass
• map
• bag (can be carried at the back rather than sling bag )
• knife
• strings (act as marker in case want to turn back )
• earphone ( listen to songs :P )
• first aid stuffs

I waited for them for 40 minutes in the mamak stall .. my patience reached the limit ! lolz .. my anger slowly subsided after a while .. The jungle trekking location - Bukit Gasing is near pj old town - just 15 minutes by car ..

once i stepped into the place , i made another mistake of bringing my sling bag .. so troublesome to carry it around .. haiz ( wanna throw it away !! )

Since yesterday night rained , so the pathway was slightly muddy .. i wore the wrong shoe for this expedition - Nike shoe ( for shopping purpose ) ... but luckily it can remain clean after the rough expedition .. i tried to avoid the mud and walk extra careful ...

We went up a tower and had a look at the scenic view of the jungle .. the staircase is rather steep .. a wrong step - you will roll down and may break your bones ..

Wow , the expedition was nice in the beginning .. everyone was so energetic and alert initially .. we looked forward to experience and explore the jungle .. after 10 mins walked - the excitement subsided .. it was not as easy as we thought .. we have to climb up staircase - panting for breath after reach halfway of the Bukit ..

we just randomly chose the way when we reached a junction .. " The Road Not Taken " the poem that we have learnt in BI novel - happened that time ... we have to choose the pathway between 2 choices .. should it be - right or left ? dark or bright ? up or down ? haha .. if i bring a marker , then i have no worry to trace back the way back to the starting point ..

after 1 hour trapped in the jungle , we felt nervous , exhausted and tired .. we wanted to get out of the nightmare place .. i found out that we were lost in the forest !! we met dead end .. there is no more turning back !! just slide down ~~ ( get to the bottom as fast as possible )

Joel suggested to follow the drain follow down the hill .. and what surprised me was that - Kar Yan's sister - 12 years old ( if im not mistaken ) was brave enough to face the obstacle .. proud of her to overcome it boldly ..

Then we used the drain to go down .. when we reached the bottom , there is a fence !! there is not way turning back ~ Luckily we saw a man showed us the way to climb over the fence .. that's the exit !! while escaping , Chun Seng injured his hand terribly .. It was bleeding profusely firstly .. then getting better after clotting took place ..

I was the photographer .. they were relieved to be out of the nightmare .. i wanted to jump into the swimming pool !! haha .. we were inside an apartment .. Then we met 2 women who helped us showed the direction and how to escape from the security guard - Thanks Miss Fong !!

Expedition on the road !! haha .. we walked another 3 km to reach the car ...

I am consider lucky as i escaped with just a single cut on the leg ..hehe .. ( Thanks to the long pants !! )

Chun Seng was unlucky .. he went to consult doctor's advice .. he said the wound has to be stitched to speed up the healing process and prevent bacterial infection .. I saw the process .. It was scary !! .. what a pain !! the doctor without hesitation injected the syringe into the wound with ease .. @@
