Fiesta

Last Sat , my school organized a meaningful event - Charity Fiesta 2008 .. The main purpose is quite obvious - charity .. For the past few weeks , i have been asking people to join me .. but a lot didnt turn up - exam , lazy and other stuffs . i brought 2 frens - Guo Dung and Hon Lean .. both of them are members of the buddhist organization somewhere in kl ( generous friends ) .. On behalf of the school , thanks for your contribution .. Every cents does make some different to the those who need it ..

All the money collected are donated to different - rumah orang cacat , orphanage and others .. The principal reassured as that they will not take any money for the expenses .All the expenditure are sponsored by parents and school ... Even the singers came voluntary ..

It was the first time i went for a private school carnival .. i went to a few carnivals nearby my house .. It is a lot different from other carnivals .. There are around 38 food stalls ( if im not mistaken ) and around 12 game stalls .. The main attraction there is the performance at the stage .. it caught a lot people attention when there were getting tired of walking around .. they can just simply sit down and watch the performance by the singers and school dancers .. There was also lion dance performed by the lion dance club in my school .. The opening ceremony by the Menteri Besar Selangor was at 8.30 .. i missed that as i reached there at 9.30 .. couldnt wake up that early ...

The stage at the basketball court was shaded with a nylon net .. block almost 50 % of the sunlight .. Then there was an inflated floor for fighting with large weapon which was sponsored by parents .. Other games were designed by different clubs with the cooperation of students and teachers .. There was also a counter strike competition .. takes shorter time per game compared to DOTA .. one team consists of 5 players .. i play at home with other players .. i died more than kill .. so i decided not to bring shame to my team ..

The first food that i bought was curry mee .. which costed rm 5 .. quite exp .. just want to buy something from my cousin's stall and filled up my stomach in the morning ... Since it was for charity , everything is quite exp . Bubble tea - rm 5 , nasi lemak with chicken - rm 8 , sushi - rm 5 , mixed rice - rm 8 ... and others .. So my friends who owned rm 60 coupon can spend all easily ... ( principal demanded everyone to buy rm 60 each person ) - thus , before the event , the school managed to collect rm 75000 .. quite a large sum of $$ for a school with so few students compared to government school ..

Each games required rm 2 coupon for few tries .. if win , then we will get a token to exchange stuffs .. Hon Lean and Guo Dung exchanged for a hair gel ( not full ).. he said the hair gel was rejected by the company and sponsored for the charity ... who knows ? For 35 tokens - get a ipod shuffle , 100 tokens - PS2 or IPOD NANO !! .. my classmate - yoke lim managed to get the ipod nano !! he is a good gamers and has a lot friends help him out .. Congratz yoke lim !!

There were very few stalls which sell drinks that day .. the bubble tea had a long queue .. it was so unorganized as the people didnt line up .. fortunately , the seller has a good memory .. he can remember who arrived first and later .. i waited for 20 mins just to get 2 cup of bubble tea .. i guess it is sponsored by outsiders as there are certain machine used to shake the tea ..

There was an auction to dump the OM education founder - Mr Hanif into the swimming pool .. he has to sit on a place above the swimming pool .. then a person will throw a ball at the target .. if hit , he will drop off the seat into the water .. It is a express way to get $$ .. i guess a lot people want to dump our principal into the water .. but i didnt watch until his turn ...

There is one malay singer - Isaac who sends his children to this school to study .. he came voluntary to perform for a short while .. although he has a busy schedule. .. he is a good entertainer .. dance very well and perform very well on the stage ..
